Descrizione
This book describes how the notion of race has determined different types of racism. Racisms share a basic assumption: the idea that there are people with cultural, psychological or physical characteristics superior to other people. For hundreds of years, racisms have influenced the history of humanity and are based on logics that result in various forms of spiritual or scientific discrimination. Racists have come to plan a world without those they consider undesirable. These logics are pervasive and are hidden in small and large events. The book aims to historically reconstruct the reasons why racisms have developed, including the strategies used in the past to eradicate them. The work also seeks to provide keys to understanding how to overcome contemporary forms of racism and discrimination.
